above painting by Marilyn Key of what Madame Garcia's
may have looked like prior to the Texas Revolution.
Madame Garcia's was located across the street
from Presidio La Bahia's southeast bastion. A
bridge was constructed between the bastion and
the roof of madame Garcia's place. An armed guard
was placed at the bridge on southeast bastion
side.
